Telecommunications Supervisors

We operate Nationally within the Telco, resources, Government and Energy Supply sectors. As we carry out operation nationally, we are open to employing candidates from NSW, QLD or VIC. We are seeking experienced Telecommunications Supervisors.

We are looking for individuals with the ability to function in both a hands on and leadership roles to join our growing team.

The ideal candidates will have experience in both steel erection and technical installations, as well as civil construction experience. 

Strong leadership skills are essential for the Supervisor role and would include ability to organise construction activity onsite, complete WHS compliance requirements and promote a safe work environment. 

Essential to the role is the ability to work away from home. When project works are away from home we will offer a 15/6 roster.

Responsibilities/Essential Skills

Ability to regularly work away from home (LAFHA) on a 15/6 roster as required

- Manage a small construction team and delegate roles, responsibilities and work tasks as required. 

- Promote a culture where the preservation of Health, Safety & Wellbeing of all persons is paramount

- Liaise directly with Project Manager to assist with planning, construction and completion phases of each project

- Interpret and construct a variety of Telecommunications projects in accordance with design briefs, construction drawings and client specifications

- Utilise company and client electronic systems for project and site QHSE management as required

- Conduct safety prestart and toolbox meetings 

- Capture and escalate WHS and design issues to the Project Manager

- Possess fitness to undertake physical work and manual handling 

- Regularly report on work progress, completion dates, HR requirements, tooling & equipment

- Complete daily timesheets for teams

- Aptitude for IT systems, as a key requirement of the role is utilising email and company/client applications

- Strong communication skills, both verbal & written

- Strong leadership skills, must be able & willing to lead a team, provide guidance, instruction & offer opinions

- Must have a solid knowledge of all required WHS requirements and practices

- Attention to detail, to ensure a careful & precise approach to works

- Current Drivers Licence

- OHS General Induction White Card

- First Aid & CPR

- Basic Rigging HRWL (candidates with Intermediate or Advanced Rigging HRWL will take precedence)

- Work Safely At Heights / Tower Rescue 

- Work Platform HRWL

- EME/RF Awareness

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in previous leadership roles preferred
